Minimizing Waste

By September 20, 2011 No Comments

It happens a lot. Everyone has done it. It’s a waste. We’re talking about printing content directly from a web page. Many times you’re going to get poorly formatted words and images that extend over many more pages than necessary, which translates into wasted paper. Here is a quick solution to stop the waste (of paper and your time).

Follow these simple steps next time you want to print content from a web page, especially if it’s a blog or a news site.

1.      Copy the URL of the site you want printed

2.      Open http://www.printfriendly.com in a new tab

3.      Paste the copied URL into the white box

4.      Hit the print preview button

In the print preview mode you will notice a neatly formatted document. Here you are given the opportunity to continue cleaning up the document by removing unwanted graphics and content with one click of a button prior to printing.

It’s quick and it’s easy. Do you have any other quick tricks you can share to avoid office waste? We’d love to hear them.
