Today marks the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Individuals across the nation are making personal commitments to honor Earth Day by planting trees and flowers, picking up trash, and walking to work. Today, Callis is honoring the Earth by working with our lights off and continuing to expand our recycling collection.
Efforts to build a healthy and clean economy for the future are happening right here in our hometown of Sedalia, Missouri. Recently, the Center for Human Services in Central Missouri teamed up with the city to help restore recycling in the community. The Center’s role in the recycling efforts is to provide the facility and employ the staff that runs the recycling center. The CHS’ mission is to help rehabilitate individuals with disabilities and in return, show that every individual has the opportunity to successfully participate in the community.
Do your part to help promote a healthy Earth everyday. Find out where you can recycle and what you can do to help in your city!
