How about those Chiefs!!! Super Bowl LIV was very special for Missouri. Our Kansas City Chiefs made an amazing comeback to beat the San Francisco 49ers and bring the Lombardi Trophy home to Kansas City. Super Bowl LIV was fun to watch, and featured some great ads. In this special edition of OUTthink, we’ll share our three favorite Super Bowl ads and what we loved about them.

Doritos® | The Cool Ranch feat. Lil Nas X and Sam Elliott

This Doritos spot promoting their Cool Ranch flavor was voted one of the top spots by the Callis crew. The dance off between Lil Nas X and Sam Elliott captivated viewers and had us all moving with the beat of the popular music track “Old Town Road”. We bet people will be humming that song in the chip aisle of the grocery store.

Jeep® | “Groundhog Day” | Bill Murray | 02.02.2020

This Jeep ad promoting the Rubicon, featuring Bill Murray and the groundhog, was also a top pick of the agency. Groundhog Day was the perfect day for this spot to air, and Bill Murray was the perfect talent. Jeep aligned the stars to execute this spot to perfection, creating a fun and enjoyable ad that folks will remember for a long time.

Loretta | Google Super Bowl Commercial 2020


Google’s “Loretta” ad promoting Google Assistant was voted one of the top spots among our staff for the way it made an emotional connection with viewers. Google’s ad really stood out against others with a simple, powerful and relatable message. This spot illustrates how impactful the concept of storytelling can be.
